Description of the Inconsistency or Failure​

In existing installations where the already installed version is 3.x.x , it was identified that the upgrade process to version 4.0.0 did not include the adjustment in the PostgreSYS platform repository file.

Impact​

Due to the failure in updating the PostgreSYS platform repository file, after upgrading the PgSmart Agent version, an error occurs during the installation of platform components whose versions were updated or newly included in the new version.

Required Actions​

No corrective actions are required for new installations of PgSmart Agent 4.0.0. The suggested actions below only apply to PgSmart Agent installations that underwent an upgrade, where the version prior to the upgrade fits on the case below:

  • Version 3.x.x upgraded to versions 4.0.0;

Follow the instructions below, according to the operating system version, to execute the fix and correct the issue.

Execute the fix (fix-202511001) on the machine that has the PgSmart Agent component installed.
