High Availability Service Installation via PgSmart Web

The PostgreSQL ecosystem components that PgSmart integrates with to provide the high availability service are: Patroni, etcd, and HAProxy.

Prerequisites

We recommend using dedicated servers for each high availability component.

The high availability agent, represented by the Patroni component, must be installed on the same server as the Database Service, represented by the PostgreSQL component.

  1. Go to Início/Gerenciar Ambientes/Serviços. All installed services in all environments will be displayed.
  2. Click Instalar.
  3. Select the Environment where the service will be installed.
  4. Select the High Availability service.
  5. Select the Base Version of PostgreSQL [e.g., 16].
  6. Select the PostgreSQL Version [e.g., 16-2].
  7. Click Avançar.
  8. Select the IP address of one or more members of the Distributed Configuration Store (DCS).
  9. Select the IP address of one or more PgSmart Agents.
  10. Select the IP address of one or more High Availability Proxy nodes.
  11. Click Instalar.
