Backup Management Service Installation via PgSmart Web

The PostgreSQL ecosystem component that PgSmart integrates with to perform backup and restore operations is pgBackRest.

Prerequisites

• PgSmart Web Installation, following the minimum requirements.

• Additional package repository to resolve indirect dependencies. In accordance with each organization's security and support policies, Tecnisys does not provide such packages. For Enterprise Linux family distributions, the Extra Packages for Enterprise Linux - EPEL repository generally provides the required indirect dependencies.

• The PgSmart Agent must be installed and running on the machine where the service will be installed.

• PgSmart Agent Registration in PgSmart Web.

Instructions

1. Go to Início/Gerenciar Ambientes/Serviços. All installed services in all environments will be displayed.
2. Click Instalar.
3. Select the Environment where the service will be installed.
4. Select the Backup Management service.
5. Select the Base Version of PostgreSQL [e.g., 16].
6. Select the PostgreSQL Version [e.g., 16-2].
7. Click Avançar.
8. Select the IP address of one or more PgSmart Agents.
9. Click Instalar.
